The addition of Campbell to Cempa’s medical staff reflects the continued growth of the organization’s primary care services.

Cempa Community Care has welcomed Zach Campbell, AGNP, to its medical staff. The addition of Campbell as a nurse practitioner is yet another step for the organization as it grows its primary care services.

“As we continue to add to the reach of our primary care services, having Zach with us will enable the organization to serve more patients across our region,” said Shannon Stephenson, CEO at Cempa Community Care. “I am so proud of the medical staff at Cempa. They have established themselves as a premier team of healthcare practitioners, each of whom pursues the Cempa mission with enthusiasm and conviction. Zach, I know, is the right fit to help us meet the needs of our friends and neighbors.”

Founded in 1986 as the HIV/AIDS epidemic raged, Cempa Community Care — known then as Chattanooga CARES — was established as an HIV/AIDS resource organization. Today, while still delivering regional-leading HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services, Cempa’s healthcare offerings have expanded dramatically, including primary care.

Campbell’s expertise will enable Cempa to expand its primary care footprint. A Nashville-area native, Campbell completed his undergraduate studies at Middle Tennessee State University before graduating in August 2022 from Vanderbilt University as an Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner.
